By Air
The vast majority of tourists going to Patttaya are unaware that the resort does have U-Tapo Airport at Sattahip. Currently the only scheduled flights are operated by Bangkok Airways to and from Koh Samui.

U-Tapao Airport is a little-known place 30 kilometres away from Pattaya (Tel: 245595-7, 245599).
It is little-known with good reason: It's situated on a military base, is for domestic flights, and hasn't got a great reputation.

By Bus

By Train
Few visitors to Pattaya are aware that the city does have a railway station. It is north of Sukhumvit Rd close to the Siam Country Club. One train a day leaves Bangkok Railway Station (Hualamphong) at 7am and takes 5 hours to works its way down to Pattaya. For more details call (66-2) 223-7010, 223-7020.

By Motorbike
This is a convenient way to explore around. A driving license is needed. Wearing a helmet is required by law. Insurance is recommended. Beware of cheats. Check the bike for malfunction, brake, scratches, damages and make sure they are recorded and you have a copy of it. Contact Tourist Police if you are cheated. Motor Bikes are availability at beach road vendors. Rates : Bt150 - 600 / day for 100 cc to 1100 cc bikes.

By Mini Bus (Song Taew)
Mini Bus (Song Taew) travelling around Pattaya is most convenient by "Song Taew" that continually ply the Beach Road and Pattaya 2 Road in counterclockwise circuits. Fares are 5 baht and 10 baht per person per ride. Fares beyond the main bay are negotiable at around 50-100 Baht.

By Rental Car
Those who wish to be independent, and explore Pattaya's surrounding countryside and beaches at leisure, can rent motorcycles, jeeps or cars. Rental shops can be commonly found on the streets of Pattaya. The visitor is advised to shop around, and consult local tourism publications, for different companies offer different prices and conditions. An international driver license is required.
